# bzzd

> bzzd sends push notifications from servers, scripts and services to people's phones and computers. Each sender is an "app" with a token; anything posted to the app's webhook URL or the HTTP API arrives as a notification on every device the account added (iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, through the web app). It also runs heartbeat checks that alert when a cron job or backup stops pinging.

Run by AGP Software Solutions Inc. (AGPSoft). Free plan available; Pro is $24 a year.

Fields (JSON, form or query): message (required, up to 1024 characters), title, link, link_title, priority (silent, quiet, normal, high, urgent), devices, image (file or base64, up to 5 MB), expires_in (seconds), to (a member's user key, shared apps only), repeat_every and repeat_for (seconds; required for urgent, which repeats until acknowledged).

Answers: 200 {"id": "…"}; errors {"errors": [{"field": "…", "message": "…"}]} with 400, 401, 422 or 429 (Retry-After). Each app may send 60 messages a minute.
- Free: 1000 messages a month, 1 app, 5 heartbeat checks, 7 days of history.
- Pro: 10000 messages a month, unlimited apps, 50 heartbeat checks, 30 days of history.
