GitHub
Pushes, pull requests, issues, releases and failed workflow runs. Make an app for GitHub in bzzd, then follow these steps.
Set it up
APP_TOKEN stands for your app's token. Once you've made the app, bzzd shows these steps with it filled in.
- In the repository, or the organization, open Settings → Webhooks → Add webhook.
- Paste this as the Payload URL. Any content type works, and the secret can stay empty.
Payload URL
https://api.bzzd.io/v1/hooks/APP_TOKEN
- Choose Let me select individual events and tick the ones you want, such as Pushes, Pull requests, Issues, Releases and Workflow runs. Then add the webhook.
GitHub's first ping arrives as "GitHub is connected". Only finished workflow runs come through, failed ones as high priority; runs starting, checks and label changes are skipped.
Good to know
- Every alert goes to all your devices; an app you share also reaches the people you share it with.
- Things that look like passwords or tokens in an alert are hidden before it's saved.
- The webhook URL also takes bzzd's own fields, so you can post your own messages to it. See Sending messages.
